Climate change and sustainability
In the Paris climate agreement almost 200 states agreed to a maximal temperature raise of less than 2°C, with the aim not to exceed 1,5°C. In this seminar we will look at the results of the climate change and will think about sceneries how the Paris climate agreement can still be met. In the seminar we will discuss following topics in more detail:
- Climate change, CO2 and other greenhouse gases
- Turning points in the climate
- Renewable energies: Opportunities and limitations
- Energy saving possibilities
Aim of the seminar is to observe the dramatic global climate change and its consequences from a physical perspective and to consider forward-looking solutions that seem appropriate for immediate implementation. We will give lot time for elaborate discussions.
