Research Interests

Although many of the underlying basic processes in OPV and hybrid solar cells have been investigated during the past 20 years, the origin of the open circuit voltage is not fully understood. In particular, the influence of cell design, morphology, and the choice of material as light absorber is still not clear. In addition, the continuous development of new absorber classes and cell designs makes it more difficult to find an appropriate overall description.

In order to investigate this key characteristic of solar cells, Sb2S3 as inorganic low cost material and perovskite as new high efficiency absorber are investigated, including their properties in various morphologies.
